Het onderwerp ('pedofilie') is actueel, en dit zal waarschijnlijk ook altijd zo blijven. In dit boek tracht de schrijver met een nieuw geluid te komen: samenwerken met de cliënt om zo seksueel misbruik van kinderen te voorkomen. Het project dat de schrijver heeft opgezet, wordt mede in dit boek beschreven, en daarbij weet ze haar passie goed onder woorden te brengen en voelbaar te maken. Soms weidt ze daarin echter wat te veel uit, naar mijn smaak. Voor mensen die enige ervaring hebben in de forensische sector, biedt het boek niet zo heel veel nieuws. Voor professionals die meer over dit onderwerp willen weten, zijn andere boeken meer geschikt. Echter, voor collega's die geïnspireerd willen raken ten behoeve van cliëntencontacten is dit boek zeer geschikt... hou wel rekening met een lange adem die nodig is bij het lezen van dit werk.
